bored...

Saying your “bored” in my house is like saying a cuss word and the end result is getting a slap upside the head and someone saying “go and find something to occupy your time”

There were a few things I could find to occupy my time, no problem, but this particular weekend I was bored out of my mind because I was grounded for something stupid I did the previous week thankfully my sentence was for two days; but it felt like an eternity.

Being grounded for me is what I picture prison to be – except I have to go to my Grandmothers house locked up in the house all day where there is no tv, no cell phone, no interaction on social media and no video games.

So this weekend instead of doing my usual I was forced to think outside of the box. I drew a few pictures. I used to be really good at drawing and I was always encouraged to continue as it is a “God given talent”. I drew a Marlin and a Robot which are worth mentioning.

When drawing wasn’t working out I would catch a few cat naps, do some push ups or read a book.

This particular book caught my attention “Hardy Boys, Deprivation House” it was very interesting and the plot was similar to what I was experiencing.

The Hardy Boys had to go undercover and join a cast of teenagers on a reality show called Deprivation House. It has a bunch of teenagers living together in a house and competing to see who can go the longest without the modern luxuries us teenagers are use to; like tv, cell phones, social media and video games. Whoever went the longest was in to win one million dollars. So with the usual Hardy Boys book there is a potential victim, suspects and every one is a suspect.
