Party party party

This weekend I was bombarded with birthday parties – I ended up on the beach, at a restaurant, and a house party.

I’ve been going to a few sweet 16 parties this year but this weekend the party that stood out was the one held at The George Town Yacht Club for my good (girl) friend Ajah.

The George Town Yacht Club is close to the airport. The food was phenomenal and the view from the deck overlooking the pool into the harbour was breathtaking and the DJ was lit.

I bumped into a lot of my friends that I hadn’t seen since leaving Clifton Hunter High School it was a mini high school reunion.

I must say that I looked mighty sharp (as usual) my outfit of the night included a fresh haircut, white Hugo Boss Polo Shirt, ripped jeans and white Jordans

The night went off without a hitch there was no fights, no overly dramatic teenage girls, just easy laid back good music with laughter echoing through the air.

Yo-ho-ho! what did ye do this weekend I got into Pirate things.

Well shave me belly with a rusty razor! this weekend thee 39th annual Pirates Week celebration was officially launched in The Cayman Islands.

Yo-ho-ho! Friday night me clan and I went on the town to watch thee fireworks - I have to admit they were amazing. Every year it gets better and better and better.

No quarter! we ended up staying a while. Thar was a lot to see and thee music was pretty good. gave me good leg a shake and danced a jig with a young lass. Sail ho away we had so much fun.

Ahoy Matey, Saturday was an even better event. Shiver me timbers! Invasion of thee pirates and thee float parade were worth standing in the hot sun for almost three hours.

Shiver me timbers! I was able to stay past curfew on Saturday night and attended thee Teen Dance, hung out with a few mates I hadn’t seen since the last time the Pirates invaded thee good ole Cayman Islands.

Sink me! I always look fore to thee Pirates Week events especially thee grub at thee district days. These are thee only events that I actually git to go to and stay out past curfew.

freezing my tush off

brrr brrr where is this weather coming from

its cold, muy frio, shivering, gnashing of teeth

and I'm sitting under the sheets, covers pulled up to my ears

I'm practically freezing turning icicle blue and fingers numb

my dogs nose is extra wet I’m sure I saw his shivering too

don’t even dare step outside without the proper winter gear

on second thought I double dog dare you to step outside 

wearing nothing but a t-shirt, shorts and flip flops

bet you a dolla you wouldn't last a minute

I haven’t felt weather like this since last November

I guess I can’t complain give me the cold over the heat any day

No not the below negative zero type of cold 

Sir, I suggest you can keep that weather over there

while drinking my third mug of hot chocolate 

I heard on the news that a good ole' norwester is rolling through this weekend

I guess that is Mother Natures way of giving us advance notice 

Christmas is on the way in a haste and there is no delay.
