Lazy weekend :)

Another lazy weekend, another weekend of doing absolutely nothing – tick and tick.

I have nothing to report as my weekend flew by in such a flash and a blur.

I got home on Friday evening with no grand plans and just like that it was Monday morning and I found myself scrambling out of bed at 6:30a.m do all the necessary things you do in the mornings before heading out the door by 7:00a.m.

I spent the weekend at home flying under the radar. There were no big adventures to look forward to that made me want to leave the house.

I did the usual which included playing video games, watching tv, eating and in between all of that bathroom breaks.

I am actually looking forward to the day when I can have other options and can come and go as I please. Right now I’m limited to the amount of things I can do and nine out of ten of these things that include going on an adventure have to be pre approved in advance by the parents. Hopefully when “the day comes around” I actually get up and go and not laze around doing “the usual” - I just might end up doing “the usual’.

Beach Day

Beach day….. if there is one thing that you can always do while living on an island is to hang out at the beach.

My friends and I took advantage of a great sunny Sunday and decided to ride our bicycles to the beach in Bodden Town, we were able to cast our fishing lines in a ludicrous attempt to catch fish. which by the way was an epic failure, but while that was going on we decided to boogie board the waves were perfect – Boogie Board is similar to surfing but instead of standing you lay flat on your stomach. The larger the wave is, the farther you'll be able to ride it.

People of all ages can ride a boogie boards. Just don't go out in 5 feet waves if this is you're first time, and you should always check the weather forecast before getting into the water. which I didn’t do, since we were staying relativity close to the shore. It is also recommended that you use a boogie board with a strap. Just in case you fall off, the board will be there for you to get another wave without having to chase it down, as the board is a flotation aid which is always helpful to have near.

Always pay attention to warning signs on the beach. They may indicate hazards such as rocks, reefs, strong currents, old jetty remains or jellyfish.

We spent the entire day on the beach and boy was I hungry I didn’t realize how hungry and water logged I was until I got home, but all in all it was a day well spent.
