Beach day….. if there is one thing that you can always do while living
on an island is to hang out at the beach.
My friends and I took
advantage of a great sunny Sunday and decided to ride our bicycles to the beach
in Bodden Town , we were able to cast our fishing
lines in a ludicrous attempt to catch fish. which by the way was an epic
failure, but while that was going on we decided to boogie board the waves were
perfect – Boogie Board is similar to surfing but instead of standing you lay
flat on your stomach. The larger the wave is, the farther you'll
be able to ride it.
People of all ages can
ride a boogie boards. Just don't go out in 5 feet waves if this is you're first
time, and you should always check the weather forecast before getting into the
water. which I didn’t do, since we were staying relativity close to the shore.
It is also recommended that you use a boogie board with a strap. Just in case
you fall off, the board will be there for you to get another wave without
having to chase it down, as the board is a flotation aid which is always
helpful to have near.
Always pay attention to
warning signs on the beach. They may indicate hazards such as rocks, reefs,
strong currents, old jetty remains or jellyfish.
We spent the entire day on
the beach and boy was I hungry I didn’t realize how hungry and water logged I
was until I got home, but all in all it was a day well spent.

Nice
